Jalen Hurts’ potentially catastrophic injury was avoided by the Eagles.
Clearly injured during Sunday’s victory over the Miami Dolphins, the Philadelphia quarterback used a brace on his left leg to play the second half of the game.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Hurts appears to have escaped a major injury despite the worry surrounding his knee.
Hurts’ knee problem won’t stop him from playing, according to an NFL insider’s report on Monday afternoon, and there’s a “good chance it won’t even keep him out of practice.”
Following the game, Hurts told reporters that he was “fine” and that he didn’t think he needed to do anything to be ready for the Eagles’ Week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
Hurts had been in “good spirits,” according to what Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni had also stated on Monday.

Sirianni stated, “We’ll see how he’s feeling and everything later in the week.” “I am aware that he struggled yesterday, despite feeling uneasy. Regarding his feelings and all those other things, he can respond to some of those questions.
“I have no doubt that this man is tenacious and will stop at nothing to support our football team in its victory. He understands that he must play for our football team to win, and despite his discomfort from yesterday, he played one of his better games this season.
On Sunday night, Hurts played the whole game and took a number of hard hits in the first half.
Marcus Mariota, the backup quarterback, warmed up during the third quarter but never saw action.
