Breaking news: Two new players worth $200 million each have signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

Indianapolis made two significant off-season purchases. They reached agreements with kicker Matt Gay of Orem, Utah, for a four-year contract worth $22.5 million and defensive end Samson Ebukam of Onitsha, Nigeria, for a three-year deal worth $24 million.

During the previous season, Ebukam was a member of the San Francisco 49ers and recorded 36 total tackles (21 solo and 15 assisted), 13 quarterback hits, seven tackles for a loss, five sacks, one pass deflection, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. In 49ers victories, there were pass deflections, forced fumbles, and fumble recoveries. On October 3, the 49ers defeated the Los Angeles Rams 24–9, including a forced fumble. On November 27, during a 13-0 victory over the New Orleans Saints, the 49ers recovered a fumble. On December 15, the 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21–13 thanks to a pass deflection. Ebukam started his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams, where he played for four seasons before spending two more with the 49ers.

Gay was formerly a member of the Los Angeles Rams, just like Ebukam. He spent 2020–2022 in southern California. Gay was chosen for the Pro Bowl and took home the Super Bowl in 2021. Gay joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 to begin his NFL career; the Colts are his third NFL team. He made 31 of 32 conversions and 28 of 30 field goals in the previous campaign.

This season, the Colts have a new head coach as well. The two seasons prior, Sacramento, California native Shane Steichen worked as an offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. They also selected Anthony Richardson fourth overall in the NFL Draft, giving them a new quarterback.

Imaginary Stars
No player on the Colts is listed in the top 10 at any position in fantasy football.

Estimated Completion
It is anticipated that Indianapolis will place last in the AFC South. The team is undoubtedly in the process of rebuilding, and even Jonathan Taylor, their star running back, has asked to be traded.
