HORRIBLE NEWS The NFL’s strongest team has embarrassed the Lion-Rams repeatedly now.
That is not enjoyable.
The NFL intervened once more to prevent another fan experience, this time to stop a local Detroit realtor from hosting a Matthew Stafford jersey swap.
The Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams wild card game watch party was originally set to begin on Sunday at 8 p.m., but Emagine Entertainment canceled it on Thursday.
In addition to the Riviera in Farmington Hills and the Quality 10 in Saginaw, the theater chain planned to give fans the chance to watch the game for free at any one of its eight locations in the Metro Detroit area: Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Novi, Canton Township, Saline, and Woodhaven.

Review: Ticket purchases were necessary for the event.
They were available at the box offices of theaters on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of eight tickets per group.
At halftime, theaters were going to give out freebies, and attendees would be able to get special drink and concession deals.
A number of intriguing storylines will be told in Sunday’s wild card game at Ford Field, the main one being Matthew Stafford’s first game back in Detroit following his 2021 trade to the Rams for Jared Goff and several draft picks.
In addition, it will be the first playoff game played in Detroit in almost 70 years and the first at home for the Lions since 1993.
It’s not impossible for Emagine to host a football watch party; they did so just this past Monday.
Emagine and a number of other local theaters hosted a CFP National Championship watch party as No. 1 Michigan took on No. 2 Washington, in collaboration with the Theater Sports Network of Salt Lake City.
