Golden State Warriors’ triumph against Milwaukee Bucks due to Steph Curry.
The Warriors announced that Steph Curry will miss Saturday night’s game against Milwaukee in order to rest.
The Warriors defeated the Chicago Bulls 140-131 on Friday night to start a four-game trip through the Midwest. During his 35 minutes of action, Curry scored 27 points on 24 field goals, including 6 of 15 from three-point range. In addition, he had nine assists.
Curry,35, has only missed two of the first 36 games for the Warriors. Before concluding the trip on Wednesday night in Utah, Golden State plays a day game in Memphis on Monday.
In the game against the Bucks, Brandin Podziemski and Cory Joseph should play bigger roles with Curry sitting on the sidelines. The talented rookie for the Warriors, Podziemski, was raised in the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield.
Led by two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and former Trail Blazer star Damian Lillard, the Bucks (26-12) have the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and are 17-4 at home this season. It ends at 5 p.m. Pacific time.
Prior to their thrilling victory on Friday night, which featured a 48-point third quarter, the Warriors (18-12) had dropped six of their previous eight games.
Moses Moody will not be playing on this trip due to a calf strain, Golden State announced on Friday prior to the game. Chris Paul is out at least three weeks with a fractured left hand and Gary Payton II has a hamstring strain, and Draymond Green has still not returned to the court after coming off his NBA suspension.
Due to knee soreness, Curry missed a few games in the middle of November, but he had not missed any since.
