Philadelphia Eagles on the verge of losing another top transfer target as the super prolific player has made public his intensions to sign a monumental deal with….
Every NFL team should target the free agent CB L’Jarius Sneed of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 offseason. In 2023, no cornerback for the Eagles received a PFF coverage grade of 70.0 or above. The team will need to make
another investment in the position if they hope to compete after a dismal end to the 2023 campaign. In that sense, Sneed would make a significant impact. PFF coverage grades of 70.0 or better have been earned by this physical and talented cornerback from both the inside and outside in three of his four NFL seasons.
If he so chooses, Travis Kelce believes Jason Kelce still has some football left in him – BGN
When asked about his brother’s choice on Friday, Travis Kelce noted that, “It came out that he retired, and he didn’t
really say any of that.” “Given that he had been reflecting on the game for a few years, I believe that everyone felt a little sorry for him at the end of that game. Although it’s been great to witness everyone recognize his legacy this past week, I believe the big man still has football left in him if he so chooses.

Eagles: Michael Clay, Matt Patricia, Brian Johnson, and Sean Desai stay or leave – PhillyVoice
Before accepting a position as head coach of the Lions in 2018, Patricia served as the defensive coordinator for the
Patriots from 2012 to 2017. After being let go in 2020, he rejoined the Patriots in an offensive capacity and began calling plays in 2022. After a dismal season, he was stripped of those responsibilities, and in March 2023, he signed
on with the Eagles as a “senior defensive assistant.” The Eagles looked to Patricia to turn the defense around following their three-game losing streak against the Bills, 49ers, and Cowboys, as was previously said. However, the
situation worsened since players were frequently unsure of their responsibilities and where to line up. They were outclassed by opposing offenses in the run game, and they had little trouble finding ways to get receivers racing
through the secondary unimpeded. The Eagles had almost no hardships during the previous season, and their reaction to two devastating defeats was to make a major change as defensive coordinator, which screamed “bad vibes” for a club that was 10-3 at the time. “Fire Patricia into the sun,” says Jimmy Verdict. Proceed.
Roob’s Observations: The Eagles’ fatal move – NBCSP 1. One of the biggest errors in Cowboys history will be replacing the defensive coordinators following the game. Consider this: The Eagles had held four postseason teams
to 17 points or less going into their game against the Bills; they had defeated the Bucs 25-11, the Rams 23-14, the Dolphins 31-17, and the Chiefs 21-17. All but Tampa were top-10 offensive teams. No other NFL club had held playoff
teams to 17 points or fewer in four straight wins going into Week 11. There were many positive aspects of the defense, despite its flaws. The Eagles allowed a reasonable 21 points per game, good for 12th place in the NFL in terms of
overall defense. The defense got the stops they needed late in the game to help the Bills win in a shootout against a very strong opponent. Thus, the 49ers and Cowboys games ultimately led to the replacement of Sean Desai with Matt
Patricia. The defense did a bad job against the 49ers, but the Eagles managed to keep the Cowboys scoreless in the second half. The Eagles’ dismal offense meant that the Cowboys had to rely on numerous short passes and field goals
from 59 and 60 yards to get to 33 points. Changing coordinators after one terrible and one good game seemed like a shocking overreaction in hindsight. Although the defense performed admirably at times during the season, the
alteration significantly worsened the situation in two ways: 1) To begin with, even with a brilliant new coach, it is nearly impossible to just switch midstream from one system, philosophy, and vocabulary to another. Particularly on
defense where a lot of new players are still figuring out Desai’s scheme. It’s difficult, as Haason Reddick stated following Arizona’s defeat. It’s really challenging. The sheer fact that Patricia lacked answers made the shift even
more difficult to bear. Thus, the guys were attempting not just to pick up a new scheme but one that was dreadfully inefficient. What happens when players who weren’t particularly skilled to begin with carry around two different sets
of terms, ideologies, and game strategies? The outcomes versus the Seahawks, Giants, Cards, and Buccaneers were evident to all of us. Guys without a clue about where to go, what to do, or what their assignments were. If Desai had
remained in command, perhaps things would have turned out worse, but the defense had little chance after the move was made. And in retrospect, nobody ought to have been shocked by it.
Why Mike McCarthy was a wise addition to the Dallas Cowboys – Blogging The Boys
It is a risk with extremely slim chances that the Cowboys could have been able to locate another head coach who
would do better in the postseason. And the Cowboys have a coach who can reliably get them to the postseason for the first time in real decades. It’s understandable that the fans are craving more, but winning the playoffs is a
prerequisite for going to the Super Bowl. The Cowboys stand to gain the most if McCarthy stays with the team through 2024. Will McClay and this personnel department will try to strengthen any roster flaws and provide
McCarthy with a great group that should be able to contend for a championship, as is the case every summer. The Cowboys will make an effort to correct the mistakes made in the previous season even if they decide to keep the
coach. It just indicates that, despite the fact that it may not be what will immediately please their fan base, they are being realistic about their best course of action.
Big Blue View mailbag: offensive line, defensive coordinator, Daboll-Martindale divorce, and more – Big Blue View
Allow me to be frank, Bob. Before Carmen Bricillo interviewed and was hired by the Giants for the offensive line
position, I had no idea who he was. Naturally, there’s no assurance that Bricillo will have the miracle treatment for the line. For two reasons, though, I find this intriguing. First, while playing for the New England Patriots, Bricillo got
to know the great offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia. Second, since in each of the last two seasons that Bricillo has coached the Raiders, an unremarkable offensive line has performed better than anticipated. Pro Football Focus
has graded the Raiders’ offensive line as high as 10 in each of the last two seasons. 2018 saw the first-round selection of left tackle Kolton Miller (15th overall). The only genuinely early pick is him. Drafted in the third round, guard
Dylan Parham, center Andre James, guard Alex Bars, right tackle Jermain Eluemenor, a journeyman selected in the fifth round, guard Greg Van Roten, a journeyman selected in the third round, and swing tackle Thayer Munford, a
seventh-round selection, are all former UDFAs. These two players, along with Miller, have participated in the majority of snaps over the previous two seasons. Not a very impressive squad on paper. Nevertheless, even with
Miller’s injury, the team “performed well above expectations,” according to PFF. That’s the reason I’m optimistic about Bricillo’s hire.
Hogs Haven Commanders owner Josh Harris has been preaching patience to long-suffering Washington fans, reminding them that building a winning franchise takes some time and that going fast may not be compatible with
building an organization that will consistently compete for championships. Commanders fans understand the need for patience as the rebuilding process is undertaken under new leadership. Fans of the Washington team seem to
have gotten the message, as they seem willing to accept a one- or two-season process that involves changing the front office, bringing in new coaches, and building a roster that is extremely competitive.
Analytics forecasts the outcomes of the NFL playoff Divisional Round matches. SB Nation Advantage: 49ers San Francisco is far closer on offensive DVOA but has a considerably larger defensive advantage in the other game with a 9.5-point spread. Even if the Niners win, this game may end up being closer than anticipated based on what we seen the previous Saturday.
