terrible news. A nasal injury sustained by a prominent Sunderland player might lead to…

Football injuries are commonplace and may be extremely frustrating for managers, players, and fans alike.

But Sunderland has seen more than its fair share of injuries over the past 12 months, which has disturbed the team.

In spite of this, the team persevered last season and placed sixth in the Championship. We fielded a makeshift back four in the latter weeks of the season and lost to Luton in the playoff semifinals without a designated striker.

Many fans wondered after the season, “Where would we have finished if the likes of Ross Stewart, Dan Ballard, and Corry Evans had been fit for the entire campaign?”

Thus far, 2023/2024 appear to be exhibiting a same discouraging pattern.

As of this writing, Patrick Roberts has reported that he has a pulled hamstring and will return following the international break, bringing the total number of injured players to eleven.

Supporters have been perplexed as to why injuries are happening frequently, but there could be several causes.

First and foremost, it’s possible that misfortune is at play.

Roberts hurt his hamstring on Saturday when he ran with the ball. Given that the injury happened late in the game, early-season weariness may have played a role.
