Horrible NFL Officials Cause Ecstasy and Anguish for Lions Fans

Getting together to cheer for a win with friends and family is one of the nicest parts of being an NFL fan.

After a tough and resilient group of players, the Detroit Lions‘ 2023 regular season will go down as one of the most exciting and fun 18 weeks in team history.

The NFL scheduled the Dallas Cowboys and Lions to play on Saturday night in primetime in front of a nationally televised audience.

The game was seen by fans as a chance to determine whether the 2023 Lions were genuinely competitive or merely the winners of a favorable schedule against underachieving teams.

Late in the fourth quarter, after the Lions had fought and advanced down the field, Jared Goff connected with Amon-Ra St. Brown for a touchdown.

Most fans knew going into the drive that head coach Dan Campbell would probably maintain his aggressive play calling and go for a two-point try rather than kicking the extra point.

The ultimate drama was on display after the score.

With their offense clicking, the Detroit Lions were able to take the lead against the Cowboys on the road in just one play.

Is it possible that the team will start as the top seed this year?

When it appeared as though left tackle Taylor Decker had successfully intercepted Goff’s two-point attempt, fans let out primal roars and screamed.

Unfortunately, though, the harsh reality of NFL officiating surfaced.

The loss, which could have serious consequences for Detroit’s chances of winning in the postseason, stunned fans who thought the game would be a defining victory for the Lions.

These are videos of Lions fans who were ecstatic to think that Detroit was going to beat Dallas, only to have their hopes dashed.
