“I’ll leave if he’s not fired” Due to their major miscommunication, a key player for the Chiefs has stated he will leave the team if his colleague is not dismissed.

The Chiefs star screamed at “Big Red” during the first half of the game against the 49ers, expressing his frustration at being substituted out of the game.

All was forgiven, though, as the Chiefs rallied for a thrilling 25-22 overtime victory to win the game.

Reid and Kelce are also very much in love, and Travis even went so far as to declare that he would leave the NFL if Reid retired this off-season.

Travis said, “I’m a passionate guy,” while talking about the heated exchange with Reid on his New Heights podcast with brother Jason.

“Coach Reid is fantastic. Coach Reid is aware of my love for both playing for him and being a graduate of his coaching program.

“I’m playing just for Big Red, no one else.

“I’m out there with him, man, if he calls it quits this year.”

Jason said, “He ain’t calling it quits.”

Reid may retire from the game this summer, according to widespread speculation, especially after winning his third Super Bowl in his career.

To assist the team complete a historic three-peat in 2024–2025, the Chiefs head coach did, however, confirm that he would return for the following campaign.

“I haven’t had time to think about it but yeah, sure,” Reid responded to reporters when they inquired about his plans to go back.

“I haven’t given retirement a second thought,” he declared. “People are always inquiring. Actually, I haven’t been there. I haven’t given it much thought.

After the game, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told the NFL Network that he anticipates Reid returning in 2024.

“I am aware that Andy enjoys his work. As a family, we really valued him,” Hunt remarked.

“Andy has a unique bond with each member of our organization, and he is the reason it is what it is.

“We’re going for the three-peat, so I expect him to be back next year.

Travis, Jason, and Reid talked about the sideline incident that almost derailed the Chiefs’ Super Bowl hopes earlier in the show.

“You somewhat caught Big Red off guard,” remarked Jason.

Travis retorted, “As he said, I got him with a cheap shot.” “I see why people are obsessed with this. I proceeded.

Jason remarked, “You went — you crossed the line.” “I think we can both agree on that.”

“Yes, I did. Coach needs to be kept balanced and other things, so I can’t get that fired up to the point where I’m banging him,” Travis remarked. “When he stumbled, I’m just like, ‘Oh s***,’ in my head.”

“Let’s be honest: The yelling in his face, too, is over the top,” added Jason. “I think there’s better ways to handle this, retrospectively.”

Fortunately for Kelce and Reid, the Chiefs were not negatively impacted by their altercation.

After the conversation, Reid cracked jokes about it, joking that “He caught me off balance.” Normally, I would have given him a little more, but I was without support.”

Reid added to reporters, “The thing I love about Kelce is that he loves to play the game and wants to help his team win.”

“I know that it’s not a selfish thing; that’s not what it is. We know that even though he runs into me a lot, I chase him down.”
