He is fired, the atlanta united head coach…..

Gabriel Heinze was fired as head coach of Atlanta United after just 13 regular-season games.

In the weeks preceding his firing, the former defender for Real Madrid and Manchester United engaged in a falling out with star scorer Josef Martinez, posting a meager 2-4-7 record in the Major League Soccer standings.

After just a few months, Atlanta has already parted ways with Heinze, citing a “range of issues relating to the day-to-day leadership of the team led the club to this decision.”

What was expressed?
Atlanta United President Darren Eales stated, “Although it was the right decision for the club, this was certainly not a decision we wanted to make at this point in our season.”

“Gabi is a gifted coach who possesses an unwavering love for both soccer and his profession. We appreciate his service and wish him further success in the future.

Along with the team’s on-field difficulties, which have led to them finishing 10th in the Eastern Conference, Heinze and Martinez, who has emerged as the team’s biggest star in its brief existence, had a falling out.

Martinez, who has played in 91 MLS games and scored 79 goals, has been forced to train alone lately due to what Heinze referred to as a “coach’s decision”.

The Venezuelan player did not play in Atlanta’s Saturday loss to the New England Revolution. Following the game, Heinze declared that he was not afraid for his job.

Heinze stated, “I talk to Carlos Bocanegra and Darren Eales every day,” just one day before he was fired. “I recognize the situation they’re in. However, they have always stood by my side. They have always observed our methods.

“If something happens, I won’t try to convince them otherwise. I am not in need of help. My intention is to continue working.
